Microwave Girl Shop Update!

I seem to have gotten stuck in a recipe rut again, for lack of a better word. What can I say, I like to eat good food, and I like to share good gluten free recipes. Some gluten free food is just horrible, so when I make something that tastes "normal" to me, I feel like I have to share it with the world. But enough about food.

I have finally updated my etsy shop! I can never seem to find the time (or motivation) to photograph my  work, but I forced myself to do it this past weekend. I am pleased to announce that there are 5 new items in my shop as of today.

I have two new cards: Olive Juice and Heart Hands.

I finally got enough Lunch Notes printed to be able to put some for sale online.

 And last, but not least, two thaumatrope designs: Lightning Bugs in Mason Jar, and Sizzling Bacon.

What's new with Microwave Girl

It seems that this blog has been focusing mostly on food lately, and not so much on Microwave Girl updates. It makes the Microwave Girl name seem even sillier because I don't use the microwave at all for cooking (unless I'm melting chocolate).

Lunch Box Notes

Rest assured, I have some projects in the works. I will have a booth at several upcoming festivals in the Atlanta area including the East Atlanta Strut, and Marist School's Holiday Traditions. Right now I am working on printing more Lunch Box Notes, which sold out at the summer Indie Craft Experience before I even had a chance to list any in my Etsy store. I have a few new designs I'm tweaking, and the Olive Juice cards will be printed soon!

ICE

The first day of the Indie Craft Experience was a ton of fun. I have great booth neighbors, and Diament Jewelry was kind enough to bring this awesome bracelet that I saw in her etsy shop so I could buy it for June.

I was so excited to find something with June's name on it!

I expect tomorrow will be just as much fun as today. Maybe even more fun (for me), since I get to sleep a little later. There are so many talented vendors there. If you didn't make it to ICE today, you should definitely come tomorrow! It's Craft Fair Time

I'm so happy to be back in the swing of things. I haven't participated in a show in over a year. I couldn't imagine trying to set up a table, let alone sit at one all day, while I was 8 months pregnant, or when my daughter was only a few months old. It just wasn't feasible. Now that I have adjusted to life as a mommy, I'm ready to go. I built a pegboard stand to display my cards, sewed a new table cloth, and even have a few new card designs to show off.  This should be an exciting weekend!

Farewell Old Friend

I have been hoarding supplies ever since I found out that Gocco products were being discontinued. I still have a bit of ink, but my latest project (lunch box notes) used up the last 9 screens I had. Today, my Gocco machine burned its last screen. I'll still be using my machines to print, since I got my thermofax machine last Sunday, but it was a sad moment to flash a screen for the last time. It's the end of an era.
